About the event

Join us for an informative workshop aimed at exploring housing options for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this second session of our series, we will delve deeper into SRV-derived concepts and principles related to housing. Lunch will be provided.

Here’s what to expect:

  1. Review and Reflect: We’ll begin by briefly revisiting the content covered in the first session. This refresher will set the stage for our deeper exploration.
  2. Defining Desirable Housing: From an SRV perspective, we'll examine the question for what constitutes desirable housing.
  3. Navigating Choices: As we discuss housing options, we’ll identify what types of housing are worth pursuing and which ones to avoid. Our goal is to create inclusive, intradependent living environments.
  4. Image and Competency: We will explore image and competency issues that require conscious attention when supporting someone to live in a home of their own.

This workshop promises valuable insights and practical knowledge. Reserve your spot today and be part of the conversation on creating inclusive housing solutions!

Where: First Floor Conference Room; 1930 Bishop Lane

Who: Anyone is welcome to join, it is not necessary that you attended the first part of series to benefit from this workshop.
